Lemon Lime Dracaena

The Lemon Lime Dracaena (Dracaena deremensis) is native to Africa and can grow upwards of 20 feet tall outdoors and 5-7 feet tall indoors. The leaves are sword like and striped with neon yellow and green. Dracaena are wonderful houseplants as they are tolerant to a variety of conditions and are very hard to kill.

AKA: Corn Plant, Lemon Lime Warneckii, Ribbon Plant

Light: low to bright indirect light

Water: water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry; water slowly and evenly until water comes out of the drainage holes; discard excess. Keep evenly moist but not soggy.

Humidity: average home humidity to high; dry air can cause brown leaf tips

Toxicity: toxic to cats and dogs; non-toxic to humans

Potting Mix: loose and well draining

Additional Care: Sensitive to fluoride in water. Rotate a quarter turn every time you water it to encourage even growth and keep the leaves dusted. Soil that is too wet or too dry can cause brown leaf tips. Prune to manage size.
